Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has refused to deliver a clear verdict on the future of Spanish striker Alvaro Morata.

'The situation wasn't in our hands and for sure the possibility is less than before, ' the Italian said.

Morata came up through the Real Madrid academy and really hit his stride during a two-year spell at Juventus from 2014 to 2016.

Reports from Italy claimed Juve could make a £60m ($81m) bid this summer or result into a loan deal for the striker.

Pressed on links with Juventus, Conte added: "I don't like to comment on speculation".

He feels Giroud with all his experience and quality has been an excellent fit for a team who have been looking for a focal point in their attack all season despite the arrival of club record signing Morata last summer.

So I think Chelsea will win this 2-0, but this is a big game for them to put pressure on Spurs and Liverpool. Now it is right for everyone to be focused on the present and finish this season in the best possible way. Morata had a good relationship with Max Allegri, but there is no guarantee he will still be there next season, with Arsenal interested in hiring him.

Chelsea are now fifth in the Premier League table, and sit two points behind London neighbours Tottenham, with a further three points behind Liverpool who they defeated last season.

Chelsea will be hoping that Morata takes up Cascarino's advice against Manchester United in the FA Cup final which is, later on, this month. A win against Huddersfield would be the first time they've won five Premier League games in a row this season.
