Ryu issued five walks in that shaky outing but had been a completely different pitcher until the injury bug bit him in this game. Cody Bellinger opened the scoring with an RBI, going 2 for 4 while Yasmani Grandal added a sac fly RBI that ended up being the game-winner. He then set down the Dodgers in order in both innings two and three before recording two quick outs to begin the fifth prior to Kemp's single to left field.

Zack Godley (4-2) suffered the loss, the second time he's been beaten by the Dodgers this season.

Bettors can also wager on the game's runline with the odds sitting at -175 for the Dodgers +1.5 runs and +155 for the Diamondbacks -1.5. They had runners on the corners with two outs in the first inning; the bases loaded and one out in the fourth inning; a runner on second base with two outs in the seventh inning; and then runners on first and third base with one out in the eighth inning. It was his second hit of the game.
Godley threw a first-pitch strike to 12 of the 23 batters that he faced; in addition, he reached a three-ball count nine times.
The injury-depleted Dodgers led 1-0 when Ryu, their most successful starter this season at 3-0 with a 2.12 ERA, exited with a left groin strain. He has won two games but has a 5.20 ERA in seven appearances at Chase Field, giving up 16 earned runs (and four homers) in 27 2/3 innings.
Corbin is 4-0 with a 1.29 ERA in four starts at Chase Field this season.
Diamondbacks: LHP Patrick Corbin (4-0) struck out a career-high 12 against the Dodgers on April 4.
