Consumer Reports has published its final iPhone X testing results and has given the Apple flagship smartphone a recommendation but ranked it below iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

"We tumbled three samples of the iPhone X. The first was fine after 50 drops, but the glass on the back was significantly cracked after 100", the publication wrote.

On the other hand, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus had ended up with just a few scrapes after the durability and drop test. Further, front displays of the iPhone X, 8, and 8 Plus all came away unharmed. In our extensive testing we found that the S8's gorgeous design, powerful processor, and battery efficiency is simply unparalleled in the smartphone industry. While there have been plenty of rumors that the successor could make an appearance at CES in January, a Samsung representative has now chimed in, stating that "it is unlikely". It does not have the size or the features or the battery life but at $1000 dollars, the iPhone X is a vulnerable phone. The Galaxy S9 won't have the Face ID 3D facial recognition system.

Though Apple's iPhone X is what's causing a huge buzz over 3D sensing technology, it isn't the first device to actually debut with this capability. "In fact, if you combine the performance scores for stills and video, this is the highest-rated smartphone camera Consumer Reports has tested". However, the latest report suggests the company will release an updated version of the Dex computer dock alongside the phone.

Other drop tests seem to indicate that the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus were more durable than competing Samsung Galaxy devices. The other two similar smartphones suffered screen damage after 50.

Interestingly, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus fared better in Consumer Reports' comparison due to one possibly overlooked factor: durability.

In these times of consideration, Consumer Report analysis will come in very handy. These two smartphones are followed by the iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone 8 in number third and fourth position respectively. The patent outlines a device with a flexible display allowing to be folding in half, somewhat in the shape of a wallet. The J2 Pro 2018 display will be about 12.63 cm or 5.0 inches able to support 720 x 1280 pixels.
