Israeli media reports the country's Air Force conducted strikes against military facilities in Syria near Damascus.
Israel has targeted a military facility in Syria with a fresh round of missile attacks, according to Syrian TV broadcasters. "The air defense forces were confronted by an Israeli missile attack", Syria's official SANA news agency reported.
At least seven structures, that appear to be barracks and garages, were destroyed in the airstrike, while another three were damaged.
"Unless the US commits to preventing the march of these forces, Iran will be the ultimate victor in the Syrian conflict, thereby expanding its influence across the Middle East and setting the stage for future conflict - with both Sunni states and with Israel", observed David Adesnik, director of research at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
Residents living near the Jamraya Research and Information Center, located 5km northwest of Damascus, reported hearing loud explosions.

Israel in the past has targeted positions of Lebanon's powerful Hezbollah group inside Syria where the Iran-backed group is heavily involved in fighting alongside the Syrian army. MWC News was unable to verify the report.
