Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce Fallout, a post-nuclear adventure board game based on Bethesda's blockbuster video game series. Bethesda will also make a limited edition Pip-Boy Collector Edition available too for $99.99 (already up for pre-order at Amazon, here).
First Fallout got a tabletop strategy game, now it's getting a proper family night board game. "We know what this game means to everyone", said Game Director, Todd Howard, "The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever". Unlike that game, you'll be able to play Fallout solo, though it supports (and will probably be more fun with) up to four players.
Fallout 4 won more than 200 Best Of awards when it hit in 2015.
In 2004, the Fallout franchise was acquired by Bethesda Softworks from Interplay Productions and the development of Fallout 3 was handed over to Bethesda Game Studios.
The standard edition of the new game is available for pre-order with an MSRP of $59.99 United States dollars, but for some folks, that won't be enough.
Select retailers will be offering a special Fallout 4 G.O.T.Y. It will not come in a capsule, like the original Pip-Boy Edition did. Game of the Year Edition will be available from September 26 and will cost $59.99. It will also enable players to play Mods for free on PC and consoles. The victor is the player who accumulates the most influence around the wasteland, as measured by cards you receive for exploring the map and finishing quests.
This is one of our favorite Fallout 4 mods and one that should consider if you're exhausted of wasting time scrolling through hundreds (many of them worthless) of items.
